The Theme for the 2012 Conference: Trans-Disiplinary Dialogue

●How do different fields and disciplines stimulate each other to produce innovation?

●What tools are needed to explore and break from the boundaries of innovation?

●What networks support connections and let ideas circulate freely?

●What platforms bridge and diffuse knowledge from different fields?

●What fertile grounds exist to plant and harvest the fruits of innovation?

One answer is trans-disciplinary dialogue.

That is why Innovation Studies: Trans-disciplinary Dialoguehas been chosen as the theme for the 2012 International Conference on Innovation Studies.
We invite scholars and experts from the fields of cognitive science, cultural and creative industries, information and communications, service systems and management, and future imagination and creativity to explore the borders and our knowledge of innovation by bridging ideas and sharing the results of innovation through paper presentations and trans-disciplinary dialogue.

National Chengchi University Center for Creativity and Innovation Studies (CCIS)

National Chengchi University‘s Center for Creativity and Innovation Studies was established in 2003 as a university-level research center. These days innovation and creativity are recognized as keys to enhancing national competitiveness. At the base of this competitiveness are the cultivation of creativity and innovation in areas of sociology, culture, and the communications, the innovative restructuring of industry, and persistent innovation.

NCCU established the center specifically to lead and promote research and development in fields related to these tasks. With a core research team executing research, development, expansion, and exchange projects that allow for interdisciplinary integration and blending in exploring important issues, CCIS is gradually developing itself into a window and platform for industrial, governmental, academic, and research cooperation in Taiwan.
