Symposium on Law & Business of Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Fostering entrepreneurship has been an important policy goal in Taiwan and Hong Kong, both aiming to create social and economic value driven by innovation. In recent years, new technologies and business models, ranging from Internet of things, 3D printing, social media, to the shared economy, have advanced these two economies to a new ecosystem driven by innovation and competition. Government and the private sectors are facing new legal and business challenges brought by global competition and new technologies. How to overcome these challenges and create an entrepreneur-friendly environment has become an important issue in the next stage of economic development.

The objective of the proposed collaboration is to set a dialogue platform for trans-disciplinary scholars and practitioners of law and business associated with innovation and entrepreneurship in Hong Kong and Taiwan. The platform will facilitate the exchange of state-of-the-art researches, conversation between the academia and practice, and future collaborations by CUHK and NCCU.
